The Source (By Wolfgang Puck) Satisfies (pic)
PQ Living reader Daniel let us know in October that Wolfgang Puck’s new restaurant, The Source, is a great addition to the neighborhood. I decided to check it out one night and couldn’t agree more. Read on to find out…

Sidewalk Pollution Or Clever Marketing? (pic)
The Verizon Center marketing machine is in overdrive. We know because these square sidewalk posters advertising the upcoming BB&T Classic college basketball tournament (as well as commemerating the Phone Booth’s (Verizon Center) 10th anniversary) can now be found all over the sidewalk blocks near the Phone Booth. We’ve reported on these posters before but this campaign [...]
LA Times Gives PQ Some Love
We noticed a pretty nice article in the LA Times (free registration required) on changes to the Penn Quarter. This isn’t some quick blurb about places to spend your money; rather, it is a detailed article discussing the past & present of our booming neighborhood. Reading it you’ll recognize many names from our community.
Even if you [...]
Downtown Holiday Market Starting Late Next Week
Yes, it’s that time festive time of year again and it wouldn’t be downtown or the Penn Quarter if we didn’t have the downtown holiday market publicity machine fired up and running. We want to remind everyone that the survey period expires this Friday so if you want to participate, there are a few [...]
Gallery Place “Score Boards” Already Malfunctioning + New Poll
It seems that we gave the new “score boards” at the 7th & H St NW intersection too much credit in our photoshop parody. The resolution is much much worse than anyone imagined, as if you’re staring at a TV 1 inch away from the screen. Not only that, but they are [...]
New Restaurant Lounges Open Downtown
Two new restaurant style lounges are now open downtown and if readers have the straight scoop on either, leave a comment and let us know.
Geisha Lounge (727 15th Street, NW) – Part sushi bar, part lounge according to the web site. On 15th Street, Geisha can be found between New York Ave and H Street up [...]
Rumor Mill: 10th & G Church Development No Longer Residential
Rumors are abuzz about the 10th & G St NW Soup Kitchen/Church/Luxury Condo development headed by PN Hoffman. Word is that the developer has decided that office space would be more suitable for the site than condominiums.
We dug some more on the zoning of 945 G St, NW (Square 375, Lot 823) and found that [...]
