The Capital Irish Film Festival takes place this weekend at the Goethe Institut (812 7th St NW) and features American premieres, award-winning films, features, shorts, documentaries, Irish-language films and animation. The film schedule can be found here.
Solas Nua, an Irish arts organization in the United States, is putting on the festival with additional information about the organization available at the Solas Nua website.

Also of note is that PQ resident artist, Dana Ellyn, will be having an open studio this Saturday from noon-6pm. Stop by and say hi! 916 G St NW – dial her name on the call box for entry.
