DC Film Society Hosts “Coming Attractions Trailer Night” Tonight
The Washington DC Film Society’s Coming Attractions Trailer Night, Summer 2009 highlights the blockbuster season’s offerings. It’s hosted at the Landmark E Street Cinema (on E St between 10th & 11th St NW) and starts at 7pm. Cost is $8 and there are lots of freebies and raffles. I went to this a few years ago and it seems odd to pay to go to previews, but it actually was a lot of fun. At least in the past they had a film critic or two there who gave some critiques and interesting anecdotes about the movies. Was a fun relatively cheap evening. They also gave away a lot of junk movie promos – pencils, frisbees, etc.
