Gallery Place Building Permit Update (Video Boards & 777 6th St NW Tenant)

Is there any way to know the size of the video boards?

How do folks at The Cosmopolitan feel about the permit for the crane across the street from them? Did I read those hours right?

I think 701 7th is at G and 7th, not H. Zengo’s address is 781 7th and Thai Chili is at 701.

So the video boards may be at the walk way to the cinema and bowling alley.

Anon 01:04:00: Most DCRA permits that include work anywhere on the “Gallery Place Complex” carry the 701 7th address.

I’ve seen some drawings of the location of the video boards, so I’m certain on their location. I’m not sure that the drawings are public record, so I won’t seek to post them on the blog.

Can you post on the size of the video boards? lol

I estimate the size of each video board to be about 10 ft by 6 ft.

And the bottom of the screen will be about 12 ft above the sidewalk.

Does anyone know how to object to/interfere with the all-night permit for a crane outside the Cosmopolitan? It seems, with the hours granted, and the construction across the street, it might never be possible to sleep.

Anon 11:17:00: I would speak with your board president. I believe they are on top of these things..

Also, most night permits are obtained for 1 or 2 nights worth of work. A lot of times, the work is completed before we even know the permit was approved.
