Reynolds Center (Smithsonian) Sidewalk On 7th Almost Open

We snapped this pic of the 600 block of 7th St NW on Monday and Jason commented on it. It looks like the 7th street sidewalk in front of the Smithsonian American Art & Portrait Gallery (Reynolds Center) is closer to opening! The large green panels have been removed and only a fence remains. The sidewalk already has the red brick, so it looks good to go.

Good news. I wish they’d also remove the fence and construction crane from the F Street side by the corner of 9th – that one is quite a pain because it forces you to cross into the rowds of tourists by the Spy Museum.
