According to the Smithsonian American Art Museum’s blog, the July 1st attendance set a record for opening day attendance at a Smithsonian museum with 18,744 visitors! Congrats!

Finally, a nice piece of art welcomed visitors outside of the Verizon Center on 7th St on July 1st. Does anyone know who created this? If you look closely, you will notice that there is no person under these clothes:
