Z Pizza Coming To PQ! (806 H St NW)
Many know 806 H St NW as the vacant retail space next to the Five Guys on H St between 8th & 9th Street. According to the permit posted on the door, the former Blimpie Subs & Salads space will become Washington DC’s first Z Pizza location. Z Pizza has locations across the country with the nearest one residing in Arlington.
Will Z Pizza give Matchbox or Ella’s a run for their money?

Last week I had the pizza at Aria Pizzeria and Bar in the Ronald Reagan Building and it was really good. The restaurant has been redone and it much more inviting. There is also an outdoor market on Fridays and entertainment; lots of places to sit outside too.
Z pizza has slices(!) thin crust, great toppings and on the healthier side. Wonder when it will open. Thanks for the post gpliving
Don’t get too excited about Z Pizza. There is one here in downtown Silver Spring and their pizzas are not all that great.
We lose Manhattan Deli but gain Z Pizza. Coincidence?
And, the really big news is that a chain that located itself around DC (NoVa and MontCo) is jumping into our neighborhood. That is a vote of confidence for our area.
Very tasty pizzas, flatbreads and salads. Great combinations.
And, they are able to create delicious pizzas using low fat skim mozzarella.
And – ORGANIC!
Oh, and… two for the price of one on Tuesdays.

Oh, wow. This is fantastic news! Z Pizza is really yummy. I don’t think of them as a competitor to Ella’s and Matchbox, which are both sit-down places that require giving up a big chunk of time to go to. This place will be great for grab and go back to the office, which I do 99% of my lunch breaks.
