A few weeks ago we noted that the building on the corner of 10th & F that houses Honest Abe’s Souvenirs & Game Day Sports Shop (1000 F ST NW) had received a face-lift with a nice new coat of red paint. While that was true, what we failed to notice at the time was the gold trim, which was partially visible then, and has since that time been added to more surfaces.
After seeing just how much gold trim there was to the burgundy brick painting, we thought perhaps Game Day Sports Shop was gearing up for Redskins football, until we saw this:
Do the colors of that Big Bus look familiar? They did to us too, and we have to assume that even though the Big Bus website has the headquarters in Hayttsville, MD, for the customers the HQ might as well be right here in PQ.

Well at least they haven’t received approval of their request to have exclusive use of the spaces for buses next to the building as did Old Town Trolley in a sweetheart deal that the then Deputy Mayor of Planning and Economic Development negotiated without any community input.
