Comfort One, Chinese Gifts, Women’s Museum In Gallery Place

Comfort One shoes on the 700 block of 7th street will open August 1st. Things were held up because of an interior stairwell was not included in the specs.

A second kiosk in the “G Street Alley” (between Cylde’s and the Verizon Center) will be opening soon! It will be a customized Chinese gift kiosk next to the existing flower kiosk. Sounds like fun!

National Museum of Women in the Arts (1250 New York Ave NW) is having a 30% off Museum Shop Sale through June 30. This shop doesn’t get a lot of press, but it’s pretty good! And while we’re on the topic of museum shops, we’re personally fond of the Freer and Sackler Gallery shop.

Darn, I was hoping to rent one of those kiosks! It is a great space for commerce with all the foot traffic. I wonder how much the rent is for the large one and if anyone is renting that one as of yet?

It doesn’t look like the large one is currently leased. You could probably find out what the rent is by asking someone at Akridge.

I asked a waiter at Clyde’s once about the large, empty kiosk (closest to the theater entrance), and he said that it belongs to the restaurant and they use it for storage. Don’t know how much you can trust that, but it’s awfully elaborate storage if you ask me.
