Penn Quarter – Man…we were looking forward to Hill Country’s Texas BBQ on 7th Street NW at the end of the summer but we’ll be lucky to get it by December 2010. [City Paper: Young & Hungry]
Mount Vernon Triangle – More information on Sixth Engine, a bistro that will occupy the firehouse encased by the 400 Mass Ave condo. [The Triangle]
Dupont – The Secret Safeway is closing. Don’t know where the Secret Safeway is? Once you do, you are that much closer to being a true Washingtonian. [Borderstan]
Georgetown – Scheele’s Market plans scrapped. Are markets like Scheele’s increasingly being relegated to the scrap heap of retail grocery? [Georgetown Metropolitan]
NoMa – The CityVista Safeway will be getting some com-pe-tiiii-tion once the Harris Teeter opens up in Constitution Square and this post sure sparked up some comments about our neighborhood’s beloved (or not so much) grocery store. [The Triangle]
