Dupont Circle – Melody Records on Connecticut Ave NW is closing. We used to buy our cutouts there. RIP DC retail. [DCist]
Penn Quarter – Penn Camera is filing for bankruptcy and shutting down operations. Five of eight retail stores have been closed and the 840 E Street location is one of three holding a clearance sale closing once the inventory is gone. We’ve patronized this location when it was next to Weschler’s renting and/or purchasing various cameras and photo supplies over the years. RIP DC retail, again. [WaPo]
