A number of condos and apartments in downtown DC have rooftop pools but for those who don’t, the Liaison Capitol Hill Hotel (415 New Jersey Ave NW) let us know that they are opening their rooftop pool, cabanas, and bar today. For $25 patrons can gain access to the rooftop set up for the day starting at 11 am with access being free after 5 pm. This is a great alternative to DC’s outdoor public pools opening tomorrow.
If you haven’t visited the Liaison’s rooftop recently, you’re in for a real treat. We were there last year and it truly is an urban oasis.

The Liaison Capitol Hill is featuring new handcrafted cocktails, light fare, and nightly happy hour poolside and will be kicking off the “Dive In…” Arts, Food and Politics rooftop summer series celebrating local culture
WASHINGTON, D.C. (May 5, 2014) — After a brutal winter marked with single-digit temperatures, it is finally time to kick off pool season in Washington. The Liaison Capitol Hill, an Affinia Hotel announced today its open-air rooftop pool and bar will open on Friday, May 23, giving locals the perfect destination to unwind. The 7,000 square foot Rooftop Pool and Bar at the Liaison is the largest in the city and is the only open-air rooftop bar on Capitol Hill.
In a city known for politics and gridlock, the Rooftop Pool and Bar at The Liaison is the perfect urban retreat and will open daily to locals from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. We invite you to take a dip in the 50 foot pool, enjoy light fare, sip a signature handcrafted cocktail, relax in a poolside cabana or treat yourself to a massage. Pool day passes are $25, and it is free after 5 p.m.
Join us for Happy Hour Monday through Friday from 5-7:30 p.m. Kick back after a long day and enjoy complimentary pool access and cocktails crafted after your favorite summer fruit, including Easy Street with Greenhook Beach Plum Gin, Watermelon, Lemongrass Syrup and Sparkling Wine.
If you are looking for some additional rest and relaxation on the weekend, take advantage of the Weekend Refresher package for $50. The Weekend Refresher is available on Saturdays and Sundays and includes a one-hour yoga class from 7:30-8:30 a.m., $20 Art and Soul breakfast credit and all-day pool access.
This summer, The Liaison is bringing together the best of D.C. in the Dive In & Cool Off series. Every Thursday, locals are invited join and hear leading voices from around the area dive into topics related to arts, culture, food and politics in a poolside Happy Hour setting. The newly-redesigned Rooftop Pool and Bar will hold its grand opening party themed “Margarita Wars” featuring the District’s finest drink masters on Thursday, May 29 from 6-8:30p.m. Watch 10 mixologists including Art and Soul’s Ronald Flores compete for your vote for best margarita. Press Release is inaccurate with the dates. Went there today on Saturday the 24th and was turned away. They indicated the pool doesn’t open to the public until the 30th.
@Jonathan – we’re sorry to hear that and will alert our contact at the hotel about your experience. that said, we called the hotel today and they said the pool is open to the public today for the $25 fee.
