Drawing Salon

Practicing artists and museum educators are leading a series of conversations and drawing salons focused on works in the National Gallery of Art collection (4th St. and Constitution Ave., NW). The salons have been designed as follows:

 

Tone and Atmosphere: Hudson River School

February 7, 10 from 1pm to 3pm

 

Line and Space: Calder’s Mobiles

March 14, 17 from 1pm to 3pm

 

Composition and Perspective: Canaletto and Panini

April 11, 14 from 1pm to 3pm

 

To participate in these free drawing salons (attendance and drawing materials are completely free), sign-in beginning at 12:30pm in the West Building Garden Court (space limited to 35).
