Lincoln House Remodeling
We have to admit to only noticing this past weekend that the Lincoln House Restaurant Bar & Deli was closed for remodeling. But the good news is it supposed to open again today, so you can once again get your pint of milk, hardboiled egg, and lotto ticket fix.
Workers could be seen in the ground floor on Saturday (9/22/07) painting & fixing up the interior. Windows are mostly blocked though, so we couldn’t tell if this was a major renovation, or just a small clean up.

Thanks Ed! That’s interesting, I walked by the Lincoln House today and they’re now fixing up the outside too, all new paint on the brick and the windows are getting cleaned up.
Ed – I pray to the greasy spoon gods that what you’re saying is true! Waffle Shop won’t be the same without the counters and stools, but a Lincoln/Waffle Shop is better than nothing.
This talk about Waffle Shop moving is certainly big news. Wonder if that means Jemal is ready to move forward with his development there?
When the counter lady told me this news, I said, “Interesting.” She said (in that way only counter ladies at the Waffle Shop can), “What interesting? We’re just moving down the street! Same food, same people.” I don’t know the development history, but now might be a good time for someone who does to go ask.
I assume, since they can’t take the deco sign with them, they’ll have to call themselves something besides “Waffle Shop.”
Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.
I ate ate lunch at the Waffle Shop on Tuesday and the counter lady told me they were closing on Sunday and moving to the Lincoln House. I guess that must be the reason for the remodeling.
