Walking by this afternoon we noticed that jewelry store Mia Gemma is open. Mrs. Columbo thought the stuff looked fantastic, which means I’ll no doubt soon be spending my hard earned $$ there.

Wow! The opening seemed rather quick to me. I was just on F Street the other day. I’m glad to hear that it has opened. I’ll check it out very soon!
This is great to see – having pre-bought in the Ventana in March of ’05 and watching the slow to materialize development on F Street, its nice to see a few of the store fronts finally being occupied. Can’t wait for the Chocolote shop in May.
little by little, life comes back to our retail corridor. I don’t think the old Sunny’s Surplus will be coming back to F Street, however. I still have a duffle bag I bought in that store.
Hey, Sunny’s was one of my first advertising clients and helped to launch my business 18 years ago. The downtown location was a hole, but I remember sneaking down in high school to get cool parachute pants and chucks.

I stopped by yesterday — beautiful store (very intimate), with a wonderful selection of artisan and hand-crafted pieces. Priced right for a little bauble “just because”, as well as finer, art pieces for connoisseurs.
I wished them well — and hope that the other retail spaces on F Street open soon!
