excellent! a new retail store and a jeweler too which we’re missing in the East End. as I’ve said before, retail begets retail!

Yep, so we have Cowgirl, C3Fix, Mia Gemma, and possibly a Panera Bread on the corner. There are still several more storefronts to fill on F St, but this is a good start!

Just found this article: looks like more retail and arts space coming to PQ!

Someone had asked this in repsponse to another posting but I’m not sure it was ever answered–what’s going on with C3Fix? They used to have a website up (www.c3fix.com) but it’s since come down. Any updates would be appreciated.

PQWorker: Yes, we discussed the “retail” aspect of the WaBizJo article before. That building is not slated to have any retail on the first floor – only the Washington Stage Guild. We suspect that they mean that a retailer or two may have offices in the building. I.e. Walmart has offices in the Portrait Building at G & 8th St NW (I believe), but there is definitely no Walmart store in the neighborhood.

Kimberly: I believe that “C3fix” is not the final name of the cafe. I forget what they changed it too — but I like C3fix. Anyway, progress is being made: doors are open and construction is in full swing.

I know this has been previously addressed here, but I’d just like to reiterate how disappointing it is to see the Bennton store converted into a cell phone store. Ugh. And I don’t even shop at Benneton.
