The DC Circulator now has a new route around the National Mall offering a similar transportation service that the defunct Tourmobile used to provide albeit without the interpretive audio services. We’re eager to check it out and to point our guests from out of town to this very handy way to get around the Mall without walking long distances.
The route runs between Union Station and the Lincoln Memorial every 10 minutes and “folds” over itself on 15th Street NW in front of the Washington Monument; see the red route on this route map.
Hours are as follows:
- Winter Hours (October -March ): Weekdays 7am – 7pm; Weekends 9am- 7pm
- Summer Hours (April -September ): Weekdays 7am – 8pm; Weekends 9am – 7pm
Our good friends over at The 42 (Bus) blog did such a good job at describing it that we are pointing our readers over there for the in depth write up on this new route.
