Old Rendering of the Reynolds Center Courtyard Roof
We recently came across an old rendering of the Reynolds Center Courtyard Roof. Obviously, this was not the final design, but it was interesting to see one of the old renderings. Reminds us of the Eiffel Tower in a way.

SO glad we ended up with Norman Foster! The other one’s nice, just not as much of a statement as what we’re getting. Can’t wait for it to open!
very cool. That early version reminds me of an outdoor concert setup. the final design is so elegant. there is a great rendering of the finished product at the end of this historic slideshow:

Many historic photos on display at the museum itself, 2nd floor, right before you get to the outside cafe.
Even better than Norman Foster’s canopy over the British Museum’s courtyard. Everything he touches turns to gold as far as I’m concerned. I hope that holds true for the old convention center site!
