Mount Vernon Square Apple Store And DC History Center Open Sat, May 11 (801 K St NW)
The newest Washington DC area Apple store and DC History Center run by the DC Historical Society will open on Saturday, May 11 at 10 am in Mount Vernon Square (801 K St NW). This Beaux Arts Carnegie Library building has been meticulously restored and looks brand new! A 6 week long program of events put on by Apple will be running as an introduction to the store and its programming.
Sweet Penn Quarter Scuttlebutt (624 E St NW)

We heard from reliable sources that Sweetgreen, the fresh and healthy salad restaurant, is taking over the former Taylor sandwich space at 624 E St NW. The build out is taking place currently as seen in the above photos. Updates will come as we learn more and get closer to a reveal.
Penn Quarter Neighborhood Association Breakfast Meeting on Thu, Apr 25 (Topic: MLK Library)
The Executive Director of the DC Public Libraries will offer an update on the MLK Library construction project at the April meeting of the Penn Quarter Neighborhood Association. The meeting will take place on Thursday, April 25 at the Smithsonian American Art Museum at 800 G Street NW with entrances on F and G Streets.
