Brewer’s Ball Moves To National Building Museum
The 9th Annual Brewer’s Ball (to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation) will be held Saturday, March 2nd, this year at the National Building Museum. Individual tickets are $130 ($75 of which is tax deductible, if we’re doing our math right).
This should prove to be a fun event for a great cause, and for those of you who miss SAVOR (now that it has moved to NYC) you can still enjoy the great brews while eating much better food, and dancing to live music. Hell this is the event SAVOR should have been all those years. Good beers, food from many participating area restaurants, live music, and all to support a wonderful organization.

Verizon Center – The Washington Capitals are back in action now that the NHL strike is over but their 2-6-1 record puts them in the basement of the Southeast Division of the Eastern Conference and second worst in the whole NHL. A short season will not give them a lot of runway to recover. [NHL website]
Penn Quarter – Ashok Bajaj announces the name of his new restaurant project in the old Zola restaurant space at 800 F St NW. Penn Quarter Crib(s) of the Week – Most of the residences available in Penn Quarter are in large condo or apartment complexes but there are a few exceptions. Today we’re highlighting one of those exceptions which is the cluster of rental apartments above the Cowgirl Creamery cheese shop at 919 F Street NW. These apartments are dangerously close to Cowgirl, Co Co. Sala, and District of Pi so they aren’t suitable for our waistlines, but they are for someone who wants to have a unique PQ place to live. For that reason, they are our Crib(s) of the Week. [Craigslist – Apartments for Rent] & [DC Rentals Online]
