Wah Luck House For Sale (6th and H St NW)
A few tipsters let us know that Wah Luck House, a 153 unit apartment house erected in 1982 at the corner of 6th and H Streets, NW, to house Chinese residents displaced by the Old Convention Center, is now up for sale. The US HUD Housing Assistance Payment (HAP) contract is up in 2010. We now know what the National Museum of Crime and Punishment’s (575 7th Street, NW) gift store will be called – The Cop Shop. We’ve followed the Museum’s progress and their most recent press release indicates a May 23 opening date. Their recently updated website says that the gift store will sell “merchandise for future crime fighters, avid CSI fans, and those in search of an unusual gift.” Handcuffs to go anyone?
Short List Selected For 5th And Eye Lot
On Friday, April 25, the Office of the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development (ODMPED) selected four development teams for the 5th & Eye lot’s short list as follows:
