POW-MIA Trailers Lose Prime Real Estate
Jogging on the Mall one morning we noticed that with the construction underway for the new Vietnam War Memorial Visitors Center, the POW-MIA trailers had disappeared. These are the booths that were between the Lincoln Memorial and the Reflecting Pool.
We spoke to a park ranger who said the booths had been moved farther down the Mall. We followed his directions but only found one of them, near Constitution Ave & 20th ST. Still one the Mall, and still very close to the Wall. But nowhere near as prominently displayed as they once had been.
The Big One Double OH
The FBI is celebrating their 100th anniversary on July 26th of this year. No mention of any public events for this milestone, but there are lots of of features on their website for the occasion.
Maybe we were all giving McDonald’s too hard a time earlier this year. Perhaps they’re offering their FBI (I mean Government Employee) Special for the Centennial!
