It looks like the rumors are true – thanks dave! It’s a super busy day in the neighborhood and the interior of Chop Sticks is dark. Combine that with the “close” signs on the doors and we think that it’s not coming back.
Downtown Neighborhood Association (DNA) Meeting Next Tuesday! *Updated*

The Downtown Neighborhood Association will be meeting next Tuesday, April 10 @ 7pm. The meeting location will be in the US Naval Memorial Heritage Center (701 Penn Ave NW).

Update: Bar Louie Opening Date
A hat tip goes to a reader who wrote in to let us know about Bar Louie. She learned that June 1 is now the target opening date for the Gallery Place version of the nationwide chain specializing in “oversized sandwiches and artfully created jumbo martinis.”
Downtown Furniture Sale
Kind of… As reported by the Washington Post yesterday, the Jefferson Hotel has been having a liquidation sale of all of its furnishings.
The sale began March 29th and will continue for 3 weeks or until everything is sold out. No idea what items remain as the sale has been going on for more than a week; it could still be worth checking out though, perhaps if you need something provided by this organization.
Hours are Monday-Saturday, 10:00 am-7:00 pm and Sunday, 12:00-5:00 pm. With a cold weekend projected, this may be the perfect outing for those hesitant to leave the confines of downtown.
