The Marian Koshland Science Museum is hosting a new exhibition on infectious diseases on March 31.
If you haven’t been to the science museum, March 31 would be a good time to go (i.e. free admission):
- The exhibit will open to the general public on Saturday, March 31, with free admission and hands-on activities from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and a featured discussion from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. with New York Times science reporter Denise Grady.
The museum is located at 6th and E St, NW and is open until 6pm daily (except Tuesdays).
"Police Escorts Gone Wild" In Gallery Place
Up 7th St, down 9th St, up 7th St, down 9th St. You’d be surprised how many different sounds a police car siren could make. It’s like listening to a weird 80’s style arcade game theme song some times.
Police have been escorting shuttle buses to/from the convention center as early as 7am and as late as midnight – sometimes as frequently as every 10 minutes.
But we can take comfort in knowing that today is the last day of the police escorts and that life will soon return to the normal background noise. You know, when you only hear sirens when there is an actual emergency.
C3 Fix (975 F St NW) Permit Pic – New Restaurant/Lounge
Here is a pic of the liquor license permit posted at 975 F St NW – the future home of “C3 Fix.”
Looks like it will just be a restaurant/lounge with no dancing/dance floor. It will also feature a 20 seat outdoor cafe. The 900 block of F Street is fixing to become a very nice block!
