Rumors: Museum Moving In To Penn Quarter, Cowgirl To Start Selling Wine, Comfort One Delayed
New Museum Coming to Penn Quarter?
Lots of buzz on the retail space in Terrell Place (575 7th St NW). As you know, BodySmith has decided to abandon plans to open its fitness center (comfirmed by VIDA), opening up the retail space for another tenant. The new tenant is expected to be a museum, but nothing is final until we see a signed lease.
Cowgirl Creamery
Cowgirl Creamery (919 F St NW) is reported to have had its liquor license approved and will begin selling wine shortly.
Comfort One Shoes
Comfort One’s (700 block of 7th St NW) opening has been delayed again due to construction problems. The opening won’t be until January.
Trader Joe’s In Foggy Bottom: Open!
Last Friday marked the opening of Trader Joe’s first store in DC proper. Word is that several George Washington University undergrads, some escorted by their parents, rushed the store upon opening on the rainy day. Also, the layout is fairly simple and the aisles are wide.
An anonymous commenter went over to Trader Joe’s yesterday and reports that all 9 registers were overloaded.

The location is on 25th and L St NW. It is a 5 minute walk northwest from the Foggy Bottom metro stop and we also believe there is parking on-site (don’t know about cost).
