The day arrived for street life to return to the building at the corner of 9th and F now called the Riggs Hotel (900 F St NW). We’ve watched the street cleared of construction equipment, the plants tidied up, the ground floor restaurant called the Cafe Riggs rehabbed, and new furniture installed over the last months. Interestingly the type style used on the awnings is very similar to the Riggs Bank coloring and font of yesteryear all evoking a historic past.
The Cafe Riggs menu isn’t online yet so we snapped a photo of it posted outdoors on 9th St – see below for the details. *is* online. The Cafe Riggs website can be found here and all menus here.
