Rooting For Gridlock: 7th & H St NW
For those of you who are signed up for DC’s Alert DC text alerts, you may have noticed an alert (45 minutes ago) about avoiding the 7th & H St NW intersection due to traffic gridlock. We at PQLiving have been, ahem, monitoring the situation. And, while we have come very close to achieving gridlock at 7th & H, we haven’t observed a full cycle of the traffic lights with complete gridlock. But, this pic demonstrates the closest we came to the perfect storm of traffic congestion.

i can’t see the street from my window (i’m on the back side of the building) but it sure sounds messy out there. lots and lots of sirens and horns. i can’t imagine how hard it must be to get all the cars out of the car-free zone. good luck to the authorities!
