We took a lunch time stroll to check out the 70 foot tree that will be lit up at a tree lighting ceremony tomorrow, Saturday, November 29, in the Park at CityCenter at the corner of I and 10th Streets NW. Take a look at the folks walking on the left side. We kid you not…it’s a big tree.
The festivities will begin at 6 pm hosted by NBC4’s Eun Yang. The Gay Men’s Chorus of Washington will perform with both hot cocoa (from Rare Sweets) and hot tea (from Mango Tree) available to keep the crowd warm. Non-perishable items will be collected for DC Central Kitchen…the wishlist includes canned tuna, canned chicken, pasta, rice, and beans. Bring one of the wishlist items and you will be entered into a drawing for a gift certificate from select CityCenter retailers. We’ll see you there!
