Wine Tasting & Auction On Thursday
This Thursday is a big day for auctions, so if the Street Sense event isn’t for you how about this one?
The National Museum of Women in the Arts is hosting Wine Is Art, a wine tasting & auction featuring an “international group of winemakers will be in attendance to pour their Gold Medal wines.” The event is not cheap at $150 a ticket, but it does promise to be interesting. The event runs from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm and they expect approximately 450 people (business attire). Some of the auctioned items include:
- 19 Bottles of Rare and Wonderful Burgundy from the collector’s vintages 1995, 1999, 2000 to include 2 tickets to the 2005 tasting and dinner with Allen Meadows aka “Burghound” at the University Club;
- Dinner for 8 in the home of the noted architects (Zatinya, Bistro Bis, SomaFit) Theo ADAMSTEIN & Olvia DEMETRIOU prepared by Chef Yannick Cam of LeParadou;
- Master Class with Armani Make-Up artists and Italian Wine Tasting conducted by the Wine Director/Sommelier of the Willard Continental Hotel, Caterina Abbruzzett with Hors d’Oeuvres prepared by Chef Legret of The Willard Room;
- 6 Bottles of Bordeaux to include 2 dinner tickets to the Bordeaux Dinner with Jean-Michel Cazes of Chateau Lynch-Bages and Anthony Barton of Chateau Leoville-Barton at the Park Hyatt Hotel.
We’re told a TV will be avaialble to watch the VP debate. Review the invitation for more information, or email Neisha.Taylor [at] gmail.com for details. The museum is located at 1250 New York Avenue, N.W.
