Yard House, a restaurant chain that describes itself as “a crossroad of food, tunes, and brews“, posted a liquor license application at 812 7th St NW, the former home of the Goethe-Institut which departed the Chinatown/Penn Quarter neighborhood in 2016.
The seating capacity is listed at 338 which is about right given the large size of the space. No opening date is noted and the closest Yard House to Washington is in Springfield, Virginia. Sample menus can be found here.
