801-807 7th St Partial Demolition Approved By HPRB
On 12/22/06, the D.C. Historic Preservation Office approved the partial demolition of buildings from 801-807 7th St. Presumably, Yeni Wong is starting work on her new project. We copied some of the plans almost a year ago, but we think they may have changed significantly – especially with Wong’s [alleged] acquisition of more buildings along H St.
It will be exciting to see the northeast (and final) quadrant of the 7th and H St intersection get some new life.
Since this action should bring the closure of the CVS, we note that the next closest CVS is on 400 Mass Ave.

I think they should give CVS 30 days warning and start demolition on the 31st day, whether CVS stays or not. I am tired of such a junky business on what is arguably our neighborhood’s main intersection.
Was told by pharmacy personnel this will be tied up in litigation for at least a year! Don’t know how reliable the information is.

I can’t wait to see this building transform.
