ANC2C. "Relax Luther, it’s much worse than you think."

This post will be the first of several posts GPLiving will make about the ANC’s of Gallery Place/Penn Quarter.
We’ll start this series off easy. Here’s the rundown: The Disctrict has Wards. Every Ward is made up of several ANCs (Advisory Neighborhood Commissions). Every ANC is made up of SMD (Single Member Districts). These lines are redrawn every 10 years around the time of the national census. They will be redrawn next in 2010.
Here is a map so that readers can orient themselves. Which ANC and SMD are you in? (This info is also on your voter card if you’re unsure)
You will notice that GP/PQ is split between Wards 2 and 6 and ANC SMD’s 2C03 and 6C09. If you include the old convention center site, our neighborhood is split into 3 parts.
What GP/PQ residences are in ANC 2C03? (Translates to Ward 2, ANC 2C, SMD 3)

Oh! Is the Clara Barton in ANC 2C? I used the address “616 E St” and the DC Guide came back with ANC 6C for the Clara Barton.
From the map, it appears that the Clara Barton, the Lafayette, the Lexington, and Market Square are in 6C.
Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.

We forgot to add the Wah Luck House (800 6th St) to the list of buildings in ANC2C.
