Local Farmers’ Produce Served Up By Cedar Restaurant
Cedar Restaurant (822 E St NW) recently hosted a dinner for a few of the local farmers who sell their products at the weekly Penn Quarter FreshFarm Market. Hear about the farmers’ perspectives on this year’s growing season and read about how the concept of locally sourced food is capturing the interest of American diners and chefs alike. It happens here in Penn Quarter!

Taste of DC
This weekend in Penn Quarter, be sure to check out Taste of DC (Pennsylvania Avenue NW, between 9th and 14th Sts.). $10 admission at the door gets you one free beverage and access to over 50 of the area’s best restaurants and favorite food trucks offering $1-$3 tastings.
This is by far the best opportunity for a foodie to sample local favorites and rising stars in one place.
You all know I’m a huge fan of our neighborhood’s dining scene, but I have to admit I’m super excited to check out some places from other parts of town about which I’ve been hearing good things.
In addition to all the yummy food, there will be a beer garden sponsored by Stella Artois and live music from local and National acts.
See you there!
