He Looked Larger On The Big Screen
If this was supposed to be the revenge of Maximillian, it didn’t work out too well. We’re not sure what it is or why it’s there, but this thing is flattened on Constitution Ave NW at 9th ST (near the DOJ), and it’s been there for quite a while.
In fact there is at least one other, on Pennsylvania Ave & 17th ST (near the Old Executive Office Building). Anyone know what these things are?
Jimbo, Rocky & Angel Together Again
In October of 2007 we told you about the demise of the greatest channel on over-the-air tv. We still don’t have a music station on free TV, but WJLA is now broadcasting on HD channel 7-3 the Retro Television Network. RTN might surpass The Tube (at least in the Columbo household) as the greatest free channel ever. RTN broadcasts old TV shows such as Magnum P.I., The Rockford Files, Kojak, and many more (one notable missing show is the greatest detective series ever, featuring Peter Falk, what was that show called again?).
You’re going to have to put up with a lot of infomercials, the same variety we used to see on The Tube. That worries us, but all we can do is watch.
And buy a Total Gym, I guess.

Hanging Flower Baskets Debut In PQ
So far, we’ve spotted two hanging flower baskets on the 700 block of G St. One is in front of the Reynolds Center and another (more visible) basket is in front of Proof.
Has anyone spotted these baskets in other locations in Penn Quarter?
Bomb Threat In Gallery Place This Afternoon *7th St Open Now*
Update: 7th Street is open again.
7th Street is blocked off from H St NW past I St. The back alleys seem to be blocked off as well. Buildings are not being evacuated, but no pedestrians are allowed on the streets.
This is the best pic we could get so far!
