New Poll: Eating Out Downtown
We’ve got a new poll going in the right hand column of Penn Quarter Living so take a moment to check it out and mark down your answer. For our next poll, we’d like to get a sense of the community’s dining out habits. With a plethora of options from Indian to Asian to American to On The Fly, living downtown has its foodie perks so we’re asking “How often do you eat out downtown?” be it breakfast, lunch or dinner. Appetizers and drinks also count.
Here are the results from the 334 respondents to our zip code poll where we asked the question “From which zip code do you read PQ LIving?”:
(1) 20001 South – PQ/MVT – 121 votes – 36.2%
(2) 20004 PQ/Downtown – 96 votes – 28.7%
(3) Another zip code – 44 votes – 13.2%
(4) 20001 North – 35 votes – 10.5%
(5) 20005 Logan – 21 votes – 6.3%
(6) 20002/20003 Cap Hill – 17 votes – 5.1%
Over half our readers come from the core downtown area. The next largest segment rings downtown (20001 North, 20005 and 20002/20003 Cap(itol) Hill)). We also have a chunk of readers from outside the area. Thanks for reading and for voting…we appreciate it! Have a great weekend!
Ed. Note: Please note that the poll only appears on the home page of PQ Living. It is in the rightmost column below the downtown residential map in the top third of the page.
Free Chicken At McDonald’s Today
(Ed. Note: These signs were up Saturday through Monday, but came down on Tuesday)
We think these signs might really there to keep dogs out of the flowers, but free food is free food. Buy a medium or large drink today at McDonald’s (at least the McDonalds on E Street between 9th & 10th) and you can get a chicken biscuit (breakfast) or a chicken sandwich (lunch/dinner) for free.
Now we can all feel what it’s like to be an FBI, er, Government Employee for a day.
