According to this site, there is 15,000 sq ft of retail space available on the first floor at 777 6th St NW.
Sidewalk Pollution Or Clever Marketing? (pic)
The Verizon Center marketing machine is in overdrive. We know because these square sidewalk posters advertising the upcoming BB&T Classic college basketball tournament (as well as commemerating the Phone Booth’s (Verizon Center) 10th anniversary) can now be found all over the sidewalk blocks near the Phone Booth. We’ve reported on these posters before but this campaign seems to be bigger than those we’ve seen in the past.

LA Times Gives PQ Some Love
We noticed a pretty nice article in the LA Times (free registration required) on changes to the Penn Quarter. This isn’t some quick blurb about places to spend your money; rather, it is a detailed article discussing the past & present of our booming neighborhood. Reading it you’ll recognize many names from our community.
Even if you don’t agree with everything the article has to say, it’s certainly nice to see the Penn Quarter getting press all over the US & abroad.
