Asia 9 is the bar and lounge to occupy the ground floor retail space of The Artisan condo at 915 E Street, NW. Looks like they’re making progress. They’ve got a sign up with a logo and help is wanted so we can only surmise that this lounge and bar will be here before we know it. It will be a nice extension of life along E Street.

It’s Never Too Early for New Year’s Plans
There are almost too many options in this city for New Year’s, but if you don’t make plans early you miss out on many of the most popular parties (and the cheaper prices). Like many in DC, our email inbox starts to get filled with New Year’s offers this time of year, but one in particular caught our eyes:
New Year’s Eve 2008 The Final Night of the Hotel Washington
The ad of course is breathlessly worded with phrases like “closing its doors forever,” and “once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.” The Hotel Washington is closing, but that’s because it was sold and is closing for renovations, to reopen as a high end W Hotel.
We haven’t made our New Year’s plans yet, but we’re going to have to start soon. What will you all be doing for New Year’s?
