Lincoln House Remodeling
We have to admit to only noticing this past weekend that the Lincoln House Restaurant Bar & Deli was closed for remodeling. But the good news is it supposed to open again today, so you can once again get your pint of milk, hardboiled egg, and lotto ticket fix.
Workers could be seen in the ground floor on Saturday (9/22/07) painting & fixing up the interior. Windows are mostly blocked though, so we couldn’t tell if this was a major renovation, or just a small clean up.
Shakespeare Theater Offers Pay-What-You-Can Performance of “The Taming of the Shrew”

The Shakespeare Theatre Company will offer a Pay What You Can performance of William Shakespeare’s “The Taming of the Shrew” on Sunday, September 30, at 2 p.m., at the Lansburgh Theatre (450 7th Street NW). Tickets will become available one hour prior to the performance (1:00 p.m.) at the Lansburgh Theatre Box Office window only and will be distributed on a first-come basis. Tickets are limited to two per customer. No refunds or exchanges. Cash only.
Zara Update
While in Georgetown, I stopped into the Zara store to inquire about the opening date for the E Street location. The manager was under the impression that an opening is imminent. She had been told that the store would open the second week of October.
For this shopaholic, the mere idea of being able to find a size small (which are always sold out in G-town before I can get there) is pure heaven.
