DC Adoption & Foster Care Lunch Seminar At MLK Library (8/29)
The DC Child and Family Services Agency (400 6th St. SW) wanted to let PQ residents know about an adoption and foster care seminar at the MLK Library (9th & G St NW) tomorrow:
The seminar will be held at MLK Library (9th & G st.) on August 29, 12:30pm – 1:30pm. The seminar topic is public adoption and foster care through DC Child and Family Services Agency. With over 2500 children in DC’s foster care system and 250 children awaiting adoptive placement, we hope Penn Quarter residents will attend this free brown-bag luncheon seminar to learn about the numerous ways they can give back to the community by parenting DC foster children.

Newseum Restaurant, The Source, Opens In October + Newseum Residences Info
Thanks to Cheryl for sending along info that, even though the Newseum opening has been postponed until next year, the first floor Wolfgang Puck restaurant will be opening in October!
Chef Scott Drewno, the executive chef at Wolfgang Puck’s new restaurant, The Source, which opens at the Newseum this October, will offer American cuisine with Asian influences. The 200-seat restaurant will include a lounge and will serve Puck`s well-known pizzas. It plans to buy from local farmers.
