Bar Louie Update – April Opening!
DC Jeff at The District Chatter has the scoop on Bar Louie (701 7th St NW – inside the Gallery Place “mall”). He called them up and found that they will be opening in April, barring any unexpected delays. He also has a nice pic of the construction going on inside.
Also, we’ve noticed a number of blogs popping up in the Gallery Place/Penn Quarter area – welcome! We’ll start to link to them as they accumulate more posts.
Ringling Brothers Marches Through Gallery Place
Readexpress.com points to a WTOP article informing us that the Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus Pachyderm Parade will make its way through the city, moving from 32nd and D Streets to the Verizon Center.
It started at around 12:30 p.m. and is probably over by now. Did of our readers witness the parade? Unless you work on E St (east of 6th) or on 6th St (between E and G), it doesn’t sound like it could have been seen by many Gallery Place/Penn Quarter residents or office workers.
The circus opens at the Verizon Center on Thursday.
