Cheryl sent us word that Mayor Anthony A. Williams will be present for the opening of the metamorphosis art walk which is the new art walkway at the site of the old convention center (10th Street, between New York Avenue and H Street, NW).

Retail Update In Gallery Place/Penn Quarter
New developments coming to Downtown! (600 Mass Ave & 475 H St)
On the agenda for the June 22 HPRB meeting are two items in downtown.
- 475 H St is the former District of Columbia Lung Association seen here for lease in April.
- 600 Mass Ave & 609-631 I St is a parking lot and several small row houses. All land is owned by “GA SQUARE 452 ASSOCIATES LLC GOULD PROPERTY COMPANY.” Since the plans are being reviewed by the HPRB, we can likely expect that some of the old facades of the row houses will be preserved. The new development is directly across the street from the Mt. Vernon Triangle mass of construction and the NPR building.
Downtown continues its northward expansion!
