Daikaya’s amazing facade captured on my way to Sixth & I last night
Last night, I attended a talk at Sixth & I (600 I St., NW) and was reminded once again about the great programming they provide. There are two talks coming up in the next month that I am particularly interested in hearing because they are sure to provide incredible insight on being a woman in major leadership roles.
March 14
Sheryl Sandberg, COO of Facebook, will discuss her new book, Lean In: Women, Work and the Will to Lead. If you haven’t seen Sheryl’s TED Talk, check it out now, it is profound.
March 18
Sandra Day O’Connor, first woman to sit on the Supreme Court, will discuss her book Out of Order: Stories from the History of the Supreme Court.

We’re long time ‘fans’ of Sixth & I. The programming is superb as are their religious services, many done in conjunction with other area congregations. The MLK, Jr., Jr./Rabbi Abraham Joshua Heschel service is something to be part of every January.
