Roundup: Heard In The ‘Hood
Ballpark District – Bridges, bridges, bridges…get your bridges here! Lots of info about the plan to upgrade the bridge infrastructure around the Nats ballpark. Have you driven around M Street SW and SE lately? Huge difference and improvement compared to a year ago. [JDLand]
Mount Vernon Triangle – Underground parking, all day, for $5. That’s less than what many pay per day on a monthly contract in their PQ garages. [The (Mount Vernon) Triangle]
Shaw/Mount Vernon Square/Penn Quarter – ANC2C has its first meeting of the new year after the elections. Doris Brooks is named chair of the ANC. Surprised? [Life In Mount Vernon Square – readout of meeting and opinion piece]
Retail Roundup: Guess, Forever 21, Vapiano’s
Guess & Forever 21 – There’s more retail coming downtown and we like it. It seems that clothing is a recurring theme along F Street with the announcement that clothing retailers Guess (known for their jeans) and Forever 21 signed 10 year leases for stores at 1155 F Street NW and 1025 F Street NW (the old Woodies building) respectively.
Vapiano’s – Other sites covered this already but it bears mentioning that Vapiano’s will open to the public on February 25 at 623-625 H Street NW.
