GPLiving was walking by the E St Cinema (555 11th St NW) and noticed a sign on their door stating that customers may now buy wine and beer at the concession stand. It’s hard to notice, but the beer selection is next to the register at the far right of the concession counter. We’d post a pic of the menu, but we were denied permission to snap any photos!
More G-Men/Women Expected In Gallery Place
GPLiving ran across this fun WaPo factoid: The FBI recently inked a deal for almost 54,000 square feet at 616 H St. NW. This deal consititues about 25% of the building’s space.
616 H St already houses the District of Columbia Courts & other U.S. Government offices.
New Retail For The New Convention Center
While we’re on the topic of convention center sites, Cheryl sends us info on retailers who are currently performing construction buildout of their retail spaces at the Washington Convention Center:

Old Convention Center Site Draft Master Plan
Tavio sends us word of the posting of the Old Convention Center Site Draft Master Plan:
- Hines-Achstone-Smith, the development conglomerate that is spearheading the redevelopment of the old convention center site, has submitted a draft master plan on their website. This is easily one of the most important development sites on the east coast. The draft master plan contains detailed sketches and information about what the site will look like when fully developed.

That is an amazing amount of residential space that is planned for downtown!
