Tracking NextGen DC Food Trucks With FoodTruckFiesta.com
The next generation of Food Trucks have hit DC. Instead of setting up shop on the same block day after day selling nothing but hot-dogs and pretzels, this new breed of food vendor migrates to different locations throughout the day. You must be thinking that this would be a nightmare for customers, except for that the food trucks update their location via their Twitter accounts.
Ok, you say, but who’s going to follow a food truck on Twitter? Many trucks have amassed an impressive following, like fojolbros, with almost 6,000 followers! And these food trucks aren’t selling ice cream or FBI t-shirts either. From Eastern Shore Cantaloupe & Cucumber Soup and vegan sandwiches to toffles and Mexicali fish tacos to chicken masala and lassi pops, dare we say that some PQ chefs may have some mobile culinary competition? Have a particular craving today? Just send a tweet to the food truck and your life will play out just like an internet meme: in Soviet Russia, food truck comes to you.
A new website called Food Truck Fiesta tracks all of the DC area food trucks and plots their real-time location on a google map. It is a must see!

Great site, but does anyone else have the problem where the google ads appear right over the twitter feed? Or is it just me?
